Early voting for the city of Kerrville begins April 23

The following message is courtesy of The City of Kerrville.

The City of Kerrville will hold an election on Saturday, May 5,
2018, for citizens to elect a mayor and two councilmembers. Only registered voters in the City of Kerrville will be allowed to vote in the May 5 City of Kerrville General Election. Persons wishing to submit a new voter registration application or request a transfer of registration should contact the Kerr County Voter Registrar’s Office at (830) 792-2242. Citizens may now request an application for early voting by mail by contacting the Kerr County Voter Registrar’s Office at the Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main St., Kerrville, Texas 78028, or by calling (830) 792-2242.

Applications for a ballot to be voted by mail must be
received by April 24. A qualified voter is eligible for early voting by mail if:

• The voter expects to be absent from the county during the period of early voting by personal appearance (April 23 – May 1), and on Election Day, May 5.
• The voter is disabled.
• The voter is 65 years of age or older.
• The voter is confined in jail.
