Ingram student charged with Terroristic Threat

Whether threats are meaningless or not, they are being taken very seriously these days, especially at schools.

Ingram PD released this statement yesterday concerning a student who was charged with making terroristic threats. The actual Ingram ISD location has not been disclosed.

“PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

February 21, 2018

The Ingram Police Department has received several phone calls inquiring about an event that occurred at an Ingram ISD campus.

Without compromising the case I can give the public a brief account of what action was taken by the Ingram Police Department.

Yesterday, around 3:00 PM, the Ingram Police Department was contacted by a representative of the Ingram ISD. We were informed of a situation with an Ingram ISD student who had made life threatening statements towards students and staff members. This placed all parties in fear of serious bodily injury.

The student, who is a juvenile, was detained and after investigation was charged with Terroristic Threat.

As per policy the Kerr County Juvenile Probation Department was contacted and authorized further detention of the juvenile.

The juvenile was processed at the Ingram Police Department and transported by Ingram Officers to a juvenile detention facility.
